Our Program
Learning Through Play
At our Riverton childcare facility, we offer programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, fostering a love for learning from a young age.
-
BEAMS Early Learning is committed to providing a quality play-based and holistic program for all children that is based on best practice and backed by evidence based research. Our programs are guided by Belonging, Being, Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) which is the Australian government’s national approved learning framework for childcare. This is a key component of the National Quality Framework (NQF) which was created to ensure better educational and developmental outcomes for children.

We offer a tailored program for each room (Nursery, Toddler’s & Kindy), designed to address the unique developmental needs and learning styles of every child.
Children are naturally active and curious beings, and experts in exploring and investigating the world around them.
Our centre embraces both the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches to education, providing a balanced blend of structured, directed learning and opportunities for free, child-led exploration.
At BEAMS Early Learning our teacher and educators design the programs around the children’s natural curiosities, needs and interests to foster a love of learning, and to cultivate confidence, self-belief, resilience, and well-being. We embrace an indoor/outdoor program where children have the opportunity and freedom to move throughout our learning environments which promotes autonomy, exploration, and social interaction.
The children are supported and scaffolded through their learning journey’s with access to developmentally appropriate and quality resources and experiences. Educators will provide the children with endless opportunities to wonder, discover, investigate and learn.

Our Nursery room offers babies a world of discovery and exploration through a range of fun activities. From sensory experiences to literacy adventures, our babies have everything to spark their imagination and ignite their curiosity. One of our babies’ favourites is sensory books, which offer vibrant sounds and textures that enhance their literacy and sensory development, making learning even more fun.
We provide our babies with rich resources to build motor skills—whether it’s through the joy of kicking colourful balls or chasing bubbles. Role play through doll play encourages them to dive into new worlds, boosting their social skills and creativity.
To celebrate diversity, we introduce babies to different cultures by offering cultural dress-up opportunities and exploring the beauty of the world around them through colouring. Our art and craft activities encourage babies to explore textures, colours, and designs, allowing them to express themselves and their creativity while developing fine motor skills.
At Beams, every moment is a chance for babies to learn, grow, and explore in the most fun and captivating way.

At Beams, toddlers thrive by learning through imaginative role play. Our toddler room offers inviting spaces like the home corner, dolly play area, kitchen corner, and dress-up corner, where children can explore their sense of identity. Pretend play is more than just fun—it helps toddlers develop essential life skills by imitating everyday routines and exploring different cultures.
Through sensory play, toddlers sharpen their motor skills and learn how to pour, mix, balance, and manipulate objects. They express their creativity with art and craft activities, using textures, colours, and patterns. Gross and fine motor activities are designed to improve control and coordination, laying the foundation for future physical development.
Through playful and fun learning experiences, toddlers not only develop and practice their cognitive and physical skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. Isn’t it amazing how much they learn while having fun?
